Malt-O-Meal vs. Oatmeal

In 1877, oatmeal became the first registered trademark breakfast cereal in the United States and was awarded to Quaker Oats. By 1919, oatmeal entered the hot oatmeal market as a competitor for oatmeal. Farina was the main ingredient of the company's original cereals. In addition to their original iconic cereal products, companies that produce malt flour and oatmeal also offer consumers a wide range of flavors and types of different brands.
